19 I will give you (A)the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and (B)whatever you [a]bind on earth [b]shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you [c]loose on earth [d]shall have been loosed in heaven.” 20 (C)Then He gave the disciples strict orders that they were to tell no one that He was (D)the [e]Christ.

21 (E)From that time [f]Jesus began to [g]point out to His disciples that it was necessary for Him to go to Jerusalem and to (F)suffer many things from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and to be killed, and to be raised up on the third day.

Jesus Predicts His Death(D)
21 From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem(E) and suffer many things(F) at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law,(G) and that he must be killed(H) and on the third day(I) be raised to life.(J)
