1 Peter 3:5

For in this manner in olden times the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands,
For after this manner aforetime the holy women also, who hoped in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands:
For in this way in former times the holy women, who hoped in God, used to adorn themselves, being submissive to their own husbands and adapting themselves to them;
For it was thus that the pious women of old who hoped in God were [accustomed] to beautify themselves and were submissive to their husbands [adapting themselves to them as themselves secondary and dependent upon them].
For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
For in the past, the holy women who put their hope in God also adorned themselves in this way, submitting to their own husbands,
For it was in this way that holy women who trusted in God used to make themselves beautiful, accepting the authority of their own husbands.
This is how the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves and submit to their husbands,
Long ago those women who worshiped God and put their hope in him made themselves beautiful by putting their husbands first.
For thus also the holy women who have hoped in God heretofore adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands;
For in this manner formerly also the holy wives putting-hope in God were adorning themselves, being subject to their own husbands,
For after this manner heretofore the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands:
It was the same with the holy women who lived long ago and followed God. They made themselves beautiful in that same way. They were willing to serve their husbands.
That was how holy women made themselves beautiful many years ago. They trusted God that he would help them. They respected the authority of their husbands.
In fact, this is also how the holy women of the past who put their hope in God made themselves beautiful. They were submissive to their own husbands,
For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their own husbands,
For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their own husbands,
In this same way the holy women who lived long ago and ·followed [L put their hope in] God ·made themselves beautiful [L adorned themselves], ·yielding [submitting; subjecting themselves] to their own husbands.
For even after this manner in time past did the holy women, which trusted in God, tire themselves, and were subject to their husbands.
After all, this is how holy women who had confidence in God expressed their beauty in the past. They placed themselves under their husbands’ authority
For the devout women of the past who placed their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful by submitting themselves to their husbands.
For in the past, the holy women who put their hope in God also beautified themselves in this way, submitting to their own husbands,
It was the same with the holy women who lived long ago and followed God. They made themselves beautiful in this way. They accepted the authority of their husbands.
After all, this is how holy women who set their hope on God used to make themselves beautiful in the past. They submitted themselves to their husbands,
In the same spirit you married women should adapt yourselves to your husbands, so that even if they do not obey the Word of God they may be won to God without any word being spoken, simply by seeing the pure and reverent behaviour of you, their wives. Your beauty should not be dependent on an elaborate coiffure, or on the wearing of jewellery or fine clothes, but on the inner personality—the unfading loveliness of a calm and gentle spirit, a thing very precious in the eyes of God. This was the secret of the beauty of the holy women of ancient times who trusted in God and were submissive to their husbands. Sara, you will remember, obeyed Abraham and called him her lord. And you have become, as it were, her true descendants today as long as you too live good lives and do not give way to hysterical fears.
For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who waited upon God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands,
For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
For in this way in former times the holy women also, who hoped in God, used to adorn themselves, being subject to their own husbands,
For in the same way formerly the holy women also, who hoped in God, used to adorn themselves by being subject to their own husbands,
That kind of deep beauty was seen in the saintly women of old, who trusted God and fitted in with their husbands’ plans.
The same goes for you wives: Be good wives to your husbands, responsive to their needs. There are husbands who, indifferent as they are to any words about God, will be captivated by your life of holy beauty. What matters is not your outer appearance—the styling of your hair, the jewelry you wear, the cut of your clothes—but your inner disposition. Cultivate inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that God delights in. The holy women of old were beautiful before God that way, and were good, loyal wives to their husbands. Sarah, for instance, taking care of Abraham, would address him as “my dear husband.” You’ll be true daughters of Sarah if you do the same, unanxious and unintimidated.
For in this manner, in the old times, the holy women, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands,
For in the same way, at an earlier time, · the devout women—those who put their hope in God—used to adorn themselves by being subject to their own husbands,
After all, this is how holy women who had confidence in God expressed their beauty in the past. They placed themselves under their husbands’ authority
For this is also how the holy women who hoped in God once used to adorn themselves and were subordinate to their husbands;
For in this way the holy women of former times, who hoped in God, also used to adorn themselves, being subject to their own husbands,
For in this way in former times the holy women also, who hoped in God, used to adorn themselves, being submissive to their own husbands;
It was in this way that the holy women who placed their hope in God long ago used to adorn themselves and be submissive to their husbands.
In this same way the holy women who lived long ago and followed God made themselves beautiful, yielding to their own husbands.
For in the same way the holy women who hoped in God long ago adorned themselves by being subject to their husbands,
This is how the holy women of the past used to make themselves beautiful. They put their hope in God. And they followed the lead of their own husbands.
For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves. They submitted themselves to their own husbands,
For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves. They submitted themselves to their own husbands,
For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands,
This was the kind of beauty seen in the holy women who lived many years ago. They put their hope in God. They also obeyed their husbands.
This is how the holy women of old made themselves beautiful. They put their trust in God and accepted the authority of their husbands.
For after this manner in the old time did the holy women who trusted in God attire themselves, and were obedient to their husbands,
It was in this way long ago that the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves by accepting the authority of their husbands.
It was in this way long ago that the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves by accepting the authority of their husbands.
It was in this way long ago that the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves by accepting the authority of their husbands.
It was in this way long ago that the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves by being subject to their husbands.
That is how the holy women of old, who hoped in God, used to make themselves beautiful in submission to their husbands.
For so formerly also the nashim hakedoshot (holy women) whose tikvah was in Hashem were adorning themselves, submitting themselves to their own ba’alim.
For in the past also, the holy women who trusted in God adorned themselves in this way, and were subject to their husbands,
So once the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves and were submissive to their husbands,
So once the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves and were submissive to their husbands,
For this is the way the holy women, who put their hope in God, used to beautify themselves long ago—being submitted to their own husbands
This is how, long ago, holy women who put their hope in God made themselves beautiful: by respecting the authority of their husbands.
For this is how in the past, the holy women who hoped in God also adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands.
There were holy women long ago who trusted in God. They made themselves nice in this way. They obeyed their husbands.
For so sometime holy women hoping in God adorned themselves, and were subject to their own husbands.
for thus once also the holy women who did hope on God, were adorning themselves, being subject to their own husbands,
