Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light? Even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Isn’t the day of the Lord darkness, not light; all dark with no brightness in it?
Won’t the Day of Adonai be darkness, not light, completely dark, with no brightness at all?
The day when the Lord judges will be dark, very dark, without a ray of light.
Shall not the day of Jehovah be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?
Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light: and obscurity, and no brightness in it?
The Lord’s special day will be a day of darkness, not light—a day of gloom, without a ray of light.
Know this: The day of the Lord will be dark, not light. It will bring trouble, not joy.
Will not the Day of the Lord be darkness and not light, gloom without a trace of brightness?
Is not the day of the Lord darkness, and not light, and gloom with no brightness in it?
Is not the day of the Lord darkness, and not light, and gloom with no brightness in it?
So the ·Lord’s day of judging [L day of the Lord] will bring darkness, not light; it will be ·very dark [deep gloom], not ·light at all [brightness].
Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light, even darkness and no light in it?
The day of the Lord brings darkness and not light. It is pitch black, with no light.
The day of the Lord will bring darkness and not light; it will be a day of gloom, without any brightness.
Won’t the Day of the Lord be darkness rather than light, even gloom without any brightness in it?
So the Lord’s day of judging will bring darkness, not light. It will be a time of sadness, not joy.
Will not the Day of the Lord be darkness, and not light— pitch black at that, without a ray of sunshine?”

Is not the day of Yahweh darkness and not light, and pitch dark with no brightness in it?
Yes, that will be a dark and hopeless day for you.
Woe to all of you who want God’s Judgment Day! Why would you want to see God, want him to come? When God comes, it will be bad news before it’s good news, the worst of times, not the best of times. Here’s what it’s like: A man runs from a lion right into the jaws of a bear. A woman goes home after a hard day’s work and is raped by a neighbor. At God’s coming we face hard reality, not fantasy— a black cloud with no silver lining.
Will not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light? Will it not be deep darkness, with no brightness in it?
The day of Yahweh brings darkness and not light. It is pitch black, with no light.
Truly, the day of the Lord will be darkness, not light, gloom without any brightness!
Will the day of the Lord not be darkness instead of light, Even gloom with no brightness in it?
Will not the day of the Lord be darkness instead of light, Even gloom with no brightness in it?
Will not the day of the Lord be darkness, not light, day of gloom without any brightness?
So the Lord’s day of judging will bring darkness, not light; it will be very dark, not light at all.
Don’t you realize the Lord’s day of judgment will bring darkness, not light— gloomy blackness, not bright light?
The day of the Lord will be dark, not light. It will be very black. There won’t be a ray of sunlight anywhere.
Will not the day of the Lord be darkness, not light— pitch-dark, without a ray of brightness?
Will not the day of the Lord be darkness, not light – pitch-dark, without a ray of brightness?

Whether the day of the Lord shall not be darknesses, and not light; and mist, and not shining therein? (Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light; and cloud, or fog, and not sunshine, or brightness.)
