Amos 6:13

ye that rejoice in a thing of nought, who say, “Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?”
ye that rejoice in a thing of nought, that say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?
You who [self-confidently] rejoice in Lo-debar (Nothing), Who say, “Have we not by our own strength taken Karnaim (Strength) for ourselves?”
You who rejoice in Lo-debar [a thing of nought], who say, Have we not by our own strength taken Karnaim or horns [of resistance] for ourselves?
Ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?
you who rejoice over Lo-debar and say, “Didn’t we capture Karnaim for ourselves by our own strength?”
you who rejoice in Lo-debar, who say, “Haven’t we by our own strength taken Karnaim for ourselves?”
You take pleasure in worthless things. You think your power comes from your own strength.
You celebrate the defeat of Lo-Debar and Karnaim, and you boast by saying, “We did it on our own.”
—ye that rejoice in a thing of nought, that say, Have we not taken to us power by our own strength?
Can horses run upon the rocks, or can any one plough with buffles? for you have turned judgment into bitterness, and the fruit of justice into wormwood.
You are so excited about defeating Lo Debar. And you boast, “We have taken Karnaim by our own strength.”
You are proud because you won against Lo-Debar and Karnaim. You think that your own strength did that.
You are rejoicing over Lo Debar. You are saying, “Was it not by our strength that we captured Karnaim for ourselves?”
you who rejoice in Lo-debar, who say, “Have we not by our own strength captured Karnaim for ourselves?”
you who rejoice in Lo-debar, who say, “Have we not by our own strength captured Karnaim for ourselves?”
You ·are happy that the town of Lo Debar was captured [L rejoiced over Lo Debar; C a town across the Jordan whose name means “nothing,” mocking Israel’s conquest of it as insignificant], and you say, “We have taken Karnaim [C another insignificant town across the Jordan conquered by the Israelites] by our own strength.”
Yet rejoice in a thing of nought: ye say, Have not we gotten us horns by our own strength?
How horrible it will be for those who rejoice over Lo Debar and who say, “We were strong enough to capture Karnaim by ourselves.”
You brag about capturing the town of Lodebar. You boast, “We were strong enough to take Karnaim.”
you who rejoice over Lo-debar and say, “Didn’t we capture Karnaim for ourselves by our own strength?”
You are happy that the town of Lo Debar was taken. You say, “We have taken Karnaim by our own strength.”
You rejoice in nothing worth mentioning— that is, you keep on saying, ‘We captured Karnaim by our own strength of will and by our own effort, didn’t we?’
Ye who rejoice in a thing of nought, who say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?
Ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?
ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?
You who are glad in Lo-debar And say, “Have we not by our own strength taken Karnaim for ourselves?”
You who rejoice over Lo-Debar, who say, “Have we not taken Karnaim for ourselves by our strength?”
And just as stupid is your rejoicing in how great you are when you are less than nothing—and priding yourselves on your own tiny power!
Do you hold a horse race in a field of rocks? Do you plow the sea with oxen? You’d cripple the horses and drown the oxen. And yet you’ve made a shambles of justice, a bloated corpse of righteousness, Bragging of your trivial pursuits, beating up on the weak and crowing, “Look what I’ve done!”
you who rejoice in Lo Debar, who say, “Is it not by our own strength that we captured Karnaim?”
How horrible it will be for those who rejoice over Lo Debar and who say, “We were strong enough to capture Karnaim by ourselves.”
You who rejoice in Lodebar, and say, “Have we not, by our own strength, seized Karnaim for ourselves?”
You who rejoice in Lodebar, And say, “Have we not by our own strength taken Karnaim for ourselves?”
You who rejoice in Lodebar, And say, “Have we not by our own strength taken Karnaim for ourselves?”
you who rejoice in Lodebar, who say, “Have we not, by our own strength, seized Karnaim for ourselves?”
You are happy that the town of Lo Debar was captured, and you say, “We have taken Karnaim by our own strength.”
You are happy because you conquered Lo Debar. You say, “Did we not conquer Karnaim by our own power?”
You are happy because you captured the town of Lo Debar. You say, “We were strong enough to take Karnaim too.”
you who rejoice in the conquest of Lo Debar and say, “Did we not take Karnaim by our own strength?”
you who rejoice in the conquest of Lo Debar and say, ‘Did we not take Karnaim by our own strength?’
You who rejoice over Lo Debar, Who say, “Have we not taken Karnaim for ourselves By our own strength?”
You who have joy in Lo-debar, and say, “Did we not take Karnaim by our own strength?”
And you brag about your conquest of Lo-debar. You boast, “Didn’t we take Karnaim by our own strength?”
you who rejoice in Lo-debar, who say, ‘Have we not by our own strength taken Karnaim for ourselves?’
you who rejoice in Lo-debar, who say, ‘Have we not by our own strength taken Karnaim for ourselves?’
you who rejoice in Lo-debar, who say, “Have we not by our own strength taken Karnaim for ourselves?”
you who rejoice in Lo-debar, who say, “Have we not by our own strength taken Karnaim for ourselves?”
Ye which rejoice over what is worthless, which say, Have we not taken to us horns [i.e., symbols of military resources] by chazekeinu (our own strength)?
you who rejoice in Lo-debar, who say, “Have we not by our own strength taken Karnaim for ourselves?”
you who rejoice in Lo-debar, who say, “Have we not by our own strength taken Karnaim for ourselves?”
You are rejoicing for no reason, saying: “Haven’t we taken two horns for ourselves by our own strength?”
You, who celebrate taking back worthless Lo-debar and ask, “Haven’t we captured Karnaim with our own strong armies?”
you who rejoice in a thing of nothing, who say, ‘Haven’t we taken for ourselves horns by our own strength?’
And ye be glad in nought, and ye say, Whether not in our strength we took to us horns? (And ye be happy over nothing, and ye say, Did we not get our power by our own strength?)
O ye who are rejoicing at nothing, Who are saying, `Have we not by our strength taken to ourselves horns?'
