Deuteronomy 28:47
“Because thou served not the Lord thy God with joyfulness and with gladness of heart for the abundance of all things,
Because thou servedst not Jehovah thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, by reason of the abundance of all things;
“Because you did not serve the Lord your God with a heart full of joy and gladness for the abundance of all things [with which He blessed you],
Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joyfulness of [mind and] heart [in gratitude] for the abundance of all [with which He had blessed you],
Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;
Because you didn’t serve the Lord your God with joy and a cheerful heart, even though you had an abundance of everything,
Because you didn’t serve the Lord your God joyfully and gladly above all else,
Because you didn’t serve Adonai your God with joy and gladness in your heart when you had such an abundance of everything;
If the Lord makes you wealthy, but you don't joyfully worship and honor him,
Because thou servedst not Jehovah thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything,
Because thou didst not serve the Lord thy God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things:
“The Lord your God gave you many blessings. But you did not serve him with joy and a glad heart.
The Lord has given you many good things. But you have not agreed to serve the Lord your God with joy.
Because you would not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness in your heart flowing from the abundance of everything he gave you,
Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joyfulness and gladness of heart, because of the abundance of all things,
Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joyfulness and gladness of heart, because of the abundance of all things,
You had plenty of everything, but you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and a ·pure [or glad] heart,
Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with a good heart, for the abundance of all things.
You didn’t serve the Lord your God with a joyful and happy heart when you had so much.
The Lord blessed you in every way, but you would not serve him with glad and joyful hearts.
Because you didn’t serve the Lord your God with joy and a cheerful heart, even though you had an abundance of everything,
You had plenty of everything. But you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and a pure heart.
“Because you didn’t serve the Lord your God joyfully and wholeheartedly, despite the abundance of everything you have,
Because thou didst not serve the LORD thy God with joyfulness and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;
Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;
Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;
“Because you did not serve Yahweh your God with gladness and a merry heart—because of the abundance of all things,
“Because of the fact that you did not serve Yahweh your God with joy and with gladness of heart for the abundance of everything,
You will become slaves to your enemies because of your failure to praise God for all that he has given you. The Lord will send your enemies against you, and you will be hungry, thirsty, naked, and in want of everything. A yoke of iron shall be placed around your neck until you are destroyed!
Because you didn’t serve God, your God, out of the joy and goodness of your heart in the great abundance, you’ll have to serve your enemies whom God will send against you. Life will be famine and drought, rags and wretchedness; then he’ll put an iron yoke on your neck until he’s destroyed you. Yes, God will raise up a faraway nation against you, swooping down on you like an eagle, a nation whose language you can’t understand, a mean-faced people, cruel to grandmothers and babies alike. They’ll ravage the young of your animals and the crops from your fields until you’re destroyed. They’ll leave nothing behind: no grain, no wine, no oil, no calves, no lambs—and finally, no you. They’ll lay siege to you while you’re huddled behind your town gates. They’ll knock those high, proud walls flat, those walls behind which you felt so safe. They’ll lay siege to your fortified cities all over the country, this country that God, your God, has given you.
because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things.
You didn’t serve Yahweh your Elohim with a joyful and happy heart when you had so much.
Since you would not serve the Lord, your God, with heartfelt joy for abundance of every kind,
“Since you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and a cheerful heart, in gratitude for the abundance of all things,
“Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and a glad heart, for the abundance of all things;
for you shall not have served the Lord, your God, joyfully and gladly in a time of prosperity.
You had plenty of everything, but you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and a pure heart,
“Because you have not served the Lord your God joyfully and wholeheartedly with the abundance of everything you have,
You didn’t serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness when times were good.
Because you did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity,
Because you did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity,
“Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything,
Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and a glad heart because of all He has given you,
If you do not serve the Lord your God with joy and enthusiasm for the abundant benefits you have received,
Because you did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and with gladness of heart for the abundance of everything,
Because you did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and with gladness of heart for the abundance of everything,
Because you did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and with gladness of heart for the abundance of everything,
“Because you did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and with gladness of heart for the abundance of everything,
Because thou servedst not Hashem Eloheicha with simchah, and with gladness of heart, because of the abundance of all things;
“Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joyfulness and gladness of heart, by reason of the abundance of all things,
“Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joyfulness and gladness of heart, by reason of the abundance of all things,
Instead of serving Adonai your God with joy and goodness of heart, out of the abundance of everything,
Moses: Because you didn’t serve the Eternal your God in joy and gladness when you had an abundance of everything,
Because you didn’t serve Yahweh your God with joyfulness and with gladness of heart, by reason of the abundance of all things;
for thou servedest not thy Lord God in joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things that God sent thee. (for thou servedest not the Lord thy God with joy and gladness in your heart, for the abundance of all the good things that God hath sent thee.)
