That it might cause fury to come up to take vengeance, I have set her blood upon the top of a rock, that it should not be covered.

But I have seen that blood, and it cries out for me to take revenge.

And that I might bring my indignation upon her, and take my vengeance: I have shed her blood upon the smooth rock, that it should not be covered.
I put her blood on the bare rock so that it would not be covered. I did this so that people would become angry and punish her for killing innocent people.
I have put the blood on the rocks where everyone can see it. Nothing will be able to hide it. When I see it, I am very angry. I will punish the people of that city as they deserve.

And I have left it there, uncovered, to shout to me against her and arouse my wrath and vengeance.
“‘The blood from murders has stained the whole city; Blood runs bold on the street stones, with no one bothering to wash it off— Blood out in the open to public view to provoke my wrath, to trigger my vengeance.

that I should bring in mine indignation, and avenge by vengeance; I gave the blood thereof on a full clear stone, that it should not be covered (I spilt its blood on a very clean, or on a very bright, stone, so that it would not be covered up, or hidden).
