Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east, and they separated themselves the one from the other.

So Lot chose to live in the Jordan Valley. The two men separated, and Lot began traveling east.
So Lot chose for himself the valley of the Jordan River. He travelled towards the east.
So Lot chose the region around the Jordan for himself. Lot headed out toward the east, and they separated from each other.
So Lot chose for himself all the Jordan Valley, and Lot journeyed east. Thus they separated from each other.

Then Lot chose unto him all the plain of Jordan, and took his journey from the East: and they departed the one from the other.

So that is what Lot chose—the Jordan Valley to the east of them. He went there with his flocks and servants, and thus he and Abram parted company.
Lot looked. He saw the whole plain of the Jordan spread out, well watered (this was before God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah), like God’s garden, like Egypt, and stretching all the way to Zoar. Lot took the whole plain of the Jordan. Lot set out to the east. That’s how they came to part company, uncle and nephew. Abram settled in Canaan; Lot settled in the cities of the plain and pitched his tent near Sodom.
Then Lot chose for himself the entire valley of the Jordan and journeyed east, and the two of them separated from each other.
Lot chose the whole Jordan Plain for himself. He moved toward the east. They each went their own way.
Lot, therefore, chose for himself the whole Jordan Plain and set out eastward. Thus they separated from each other.

So Lot chose to settle his family on the plains of the Jordan Valley, and he journeyed eastward. This is how Abram and Lot separated from each other and established two different households.

And Lot chose to him the country about Jordan, and departed from the east; and they were parted each from his brother. (And Lot chose for himself all the Jordan Valley, and left for the east; and so they parted from each other, yea, each from his kinsman.)
