We are confounded because we have heard reproach; shame hath covered our faces, for strangers are come into the sanctuaries of the Lord’S house.

We are perplexed and ashamed, for we have heard reproach; Disgrace has covered our faces, For foreigners [from Babylon] have come Into the [most] sacred parts of the sanctuary of the Lord [even those places forbidden to all but the appointed priest].
We are confounded and ashamed, for we have heard reproach; confusion and shame have covered our faces, for strangers have come into the [most] sacred parts of the sanctuary of the Lord [even those forbidden for entrance by all but the high priest or the appointed priests].
We are confounded, because we have heard reproach: shame hath covered our faces: for strangers are come into the sanctuaries of the Lord’S house.
We are ashamed because we have heard insults. Humiliation covers our faces because foreigners have entered the holy places of the Lord’s temple.
We’re humiliated by their taunts; we’re disgraced that strangers have violated the sacred places of the Lord’s temple.
“The reproaches we have heard have put us to shame, disgrace covers our faces; because foreigners have entered the sanctuaries of Adonai’s house.”
You feel ashamed and disgraced, because foreigners have entered my sacred temple.

You say, “We are ashamed. People have insulted us. We hide our faces in shame because foreigners have gone into the holy places of the Lord's temple.” ’
We are disgraced, because we have heard a taunt. Dishonor covers our faces, because strangers have come into the holy places of the House of the Lord.
‘We are put to shame, for we have heard reproach; dishonor has covered our face, for foreigners have come into the holy places of the Lord's house.’
‘We are put to shame, for we have heard reproach; dishonour has covered our face, for foreigners have come into the holy places of the Lord's house.’
“We people of Judah are disgraced, because we have been ·insulted [reproached]. ·We have been shamed [L Shame/Humiliation covers our face], because strangers have gone into the holy places of the Lord’s Temple [L house]!”

You say, ‘We've been disgraced and made ashamed; we feel completely helpless because foreigners have taken over the holy places in the Temple.’
We are ashamed because we have heard insults. Humiliation covers our faces because foreigners have entered the holy places of the Lord’s temple.
“We people of Judah are disgraced. We have been insulted. We have been shamed. This is because strangers have gone into the holy places of the Lord’s Temple!”
We have been put to shame because we have heard insults. Disgrace has covered our faces because foreigners have come into the Holy Places of the Lord’s house.
We are ashamed, because we have heard the reproach; confusion has covered our faces; for strangers are come against the sanctuaries of the LORD’s house.

How we’ve been humiliated, taunted and abused, kicked around for so long that we hardly know who we are! And we hardly know what to think— our old Sanctuary, God’s house, desecrated by strangers.
We are humiliated because we have heard reproach. Shame has covered our faces, for strangers have come into the holy places of the house of the Lord.
We have been put to shame, and we have been disgraced. Shame covers our faces, because foreigners have gone into the holy places of Yahweh’s temple.
We are ashamed because we have heard taunts, disgrace covers our faces; strangers have entered sanctuaries in the Lord’s house.
We are ashamed because we have heard rebuke; Disgrace has covered our faces, Because strangers have entered The holy places of the Lords house.
We are ashamed because we have heard reproach; Disgrace has covered our faces, For aliens have entered The holy places of the Lord’s house.
We have been put to shame because of the insults we have endured. Our faces were covered in confusion because foreigners have dared to enter the holy places of the Lord’s house.
“We people of Judah are disgraced, because we have been insulted. We have been shamed, because strangers have gone into the holy places of the Lord’s Temple!”
‘We are ashamed because we have been insulted. Our faces show our disgrace. For foreigners have invaded the holy rooms in the Lord’s temple.’
The people of Judah reply, “No one honors us anymore. People make fun of us. Our faces are covered with shame. People from other lands have entered the holy places of the Lord’s house.”
“We are disgraced, for we have been insulted and shame covers our faces, because foreigners have entered the holy places of the Lord’s house.”

In that bittersweet moment, the remnant of My people will say, “We are ashamed—we have been insulted by invaders, and disgrace covers our faces When we think of foreigners entering the holy places of the Eternal’s temple and defiling it by their presence.”

We be shamed, for we heard shame; shame covered our faces, for aliens came on the hallowing of the house of the Lord. (We be shamed, and disgraced; yea, shame covered our faces, for strangers, or foreigners, came into the hallowed places of the House of the Lord.)
We have been ashamed, for we heard reproach, Covered hath shame our faces, For come in have strangers, against the sanctuaries of the house of Jehovah.
