with kings and counselors of the earth, who built desolate places for themselves,

With kings and counsellors of the earth, which built desolate places for themselves;
with the kings and counselors of the earth, who rebuilt ruined cities for themselves,
with kings and earth’s advisors, who rebuild ruins for themselves,
or with princes who had [plenty of] gold, who filled their houses with silver.
with kings and their advisors whose palaces lie in ruins,
With kings and counsellors of the earth, who build desolate places for themselves,
With kings and consuls of the earth, who build themselves solitudes:
with the kings and their advisors who built palaces that are now in ruins.
I would be resting with kings and rulers. They lived in beautiful houses which are now heaps of stones.
with the kings and counselors of the earth, with those who rebuilt ruined cities for themselves,
with kings and counselors of the earth who rebuilt ruins for themselves,
with kings and counsellors of the earth who rebuilt ruins for themselves,
with kings and wise men of the earth who built places for themselves that are now ruined.
With the kings and counselors of the earth, which have built themselves desolate places:
I would be with the kings and the counselors of the world who built for themselves ⌞what are now⌟ ruins.
sleeping like the kings and rulers who rebuilt ancient palaces.
with the kings and counselors of the earth, who rebuilt ruined cities for themselves,
I would be asleep with kings and wise men of the earth. They built places for themselves that are now ruined.
along with kings and counselors of the earth, who used to build for themselves what are now only ruins,
with the kings and the counsellors of the earth, who built desolate places for themselves;
With kings and counsellors of the earth, which build desolate places for themselves;
with kings and counsellors of the earth, which built desolate places for themselves;
With kings and with counselors of the earth, Who rebuilt waste places for themselves,
with kings and counselors of the earth, who rebuild ruins for themselves,
along with prime ministers and kings with all their pomp, and wealthy princes whose castles are full of rich treasures.
“Why didn’t I die at birth, my first breath out of the womb my last? Why were there arms to rock me, and breasts for me to drink from? I could be resting in peace right now, asleep forever, feeling no pain, In the company of kings and statesmen in their royal ruins, Or with princes resplendent in their gold and silver tombs. Why wasn’t I stillborn and buried with all the babies who never saw light, Where the wicked no longer trouble anyone and bone-weary people get a long-deserved rest? Prisoners sleep undisturbed, never again to wake up to the bark of the guards. The small and the great are equals in that place, and slaves are free from their masters.

I’d be with the earth’s kings and rulers. They had built for themselves places that are now destroyed.

With kings and counselors of the earth, Who built ruins for themselves,
with kings and wise men of the earth who built cities for themselves that are now destroyed.
I would rest with the world’s kings and prime ministers, whose great buildings now lie in ruins.

Resting with kings and their earthly ministers who rebuilt ruined cities to glorify themselves,

with kings and counsellors of the earth, which build to them sullen places; (with kings and counsellors of the earth, who built palaces for themselves;)
With kings and counsellors of earth, These building wastes for themselves.
